What is the difference between ICO and GDPR?

Under GDPR, businesses must protect user data from unauthorised access, alteration, or destruction.

They must also ensure that user data is accurate and up-to-date.

Data protection does not have these same strict requirements.

Finally, GDPR requires businesses to provide users with a right to information.

The Information Commissioners Office (ICO) remains the independent supervisory body of UK data protection legislation.
