Sharing your Google Calendar is a straightforward process. Here’s how you can do it:
Open Google Calendar: Go to Google Calendar on your computer. Ensure you’re logged in with the account whose calendar you want to share.
Find Your Calendar: On the left side of the page, you’ll see a section titled “My calendars.” This section lists all the calendars you’ve created or have permission to edit. Hover over the calendar you want to share; three dots appear to the right of the calendar’s name. Click on those three dots, then select “Settings and sharing.”
Share with Specific People: In the “Settings and Sharing” menu, scroll down to the “Share with specific people” section. Here, you can add the email addresses of the people you want to share your calendar with. After entering an email address, select the permission level (see below) you want to grant that person. The options range from viewing only to making changes and managing sharing.
See only free/busy (hide details): People can see when you’re free or busy but can’t see the event details.
See all event details: People can view the details of your events.
Make changes to events: People can edit your calendar.
Make changes and manage sharing: People can edit and share your calendar with others.
Get Shareable Link (Optional): If you prefer to share your calendar with a group of people or publicly, you can use the “Get shareable link” option found in the “Access permissions” section. This generates a link you can send to anyone you want access to your calendar. However, be cautious with this option; anyone with the link can see your calendar.
Save: After adding people and setting permissions, click “Send” if you’re sharing with specific people to notify them via email. There’s no need to save your changes; they’re saved automatically as you make them.
Following these steps, you can share your Google Calendar with specific people or make it available to anyone with the link.
Always consider the level of access you’re granting to ensure your privacy and security.
