Is Your Business
AI Ready?
AI can lift productivity, but only if your security, data governance, Microsoft 365 environment and people are ready. ABCOM's four-week AI Readiness Sprint finds the risks, prepares you for Microsoft Copilot and gives you a practical roadmap for secure AI adoption.
Start with a no-obligation conversation. The sprint itself is a fixed fee, agreed before we begin.
Most AI consultants start with software.
We start with readiness, security and governance.
Before we recommend Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise or automation tools, we check whether your Microsoft 365 environment is ready for AI to read, summarise and act on your business information.
Zero Trust foundations
Identity, Multi-Factor Authentication, Conditional Access and least-privilege access are checked before AI gets near your data. Trust nothing by default, verify everything.
SharePoint and Teams exposure
AI shows people whatever they can already reach. We find the over-shared files and permissions that Copilot would otherwise surface to the wrong people.
Governance people will follow
A short, practical AI acceptable use policy and staff guidance, so your team knows what is allowed and what must never be pasted into a chatbot.
See exactly where you are ready, and where you are not.
Every sprint ends with a clear score across security, data, people and policy, so your leadership team can see what must be fixed before AI goes live.
Practical documents your team can act on
Clear recommendations and a prioritised plan, written for business leaders, not just IT.

Every organisation starts from a different place
These ongoing examples show how the sprint helps organisations adopt AI safely, strategically and practically.
"We thought we were ready for Copilot."
A Sussex recruitment organisation believed it was ready to deploy Microsoft Copilot.
What we discovered
- Excessive SharePoint permissions
- Staff already using ChatGPT with no governance
- No AI Acceptable Use Policy
- Inconsistent MFA across Microsoft 365
Progress so far
- AI governance framework introduced
- Organisation-wide AI policy being implemented
- Copilot roadmap created
- Staff awareness and training under way
Less admin, cleaner data
A Sussex charity wanted to streamline Excel spreadsheets, disconnected databases and CRM processes.
Current focus
- Reviewing Excel-based workflows and duplicate data entry
- Consolidating information into a CRM
- Testing Copilot for drafting, shortcuts and meeting summaries
- Exploring automation for repetitive admin and reporting
Early impact
- Clearer processes and reduced duplication
- A more practical roadmap for AI-assisted operations
We use AI ourselves first
We use AI inside ABCOM before recommending it to clients, to improve helpdesk quality, documentation and service delivery.
Current projects
- API access to improve helpdesk ticket detail and context
- Better documentation, processes and workflows
- Automating repetitive service desk admin
- AI-assisted knowledge management and triage
Early impact
- Faster access to information
- Better ticket quality and more consistent workflows
Client details are anonymised to protect confidentiality. These projects are ongoing and continue to evolve.

The questions we hear first
How is the sprint priced?
It is a fixed fee, agreed with you before we start, so there are no surprises. Book a no-obligation conversation and we will confirm the scope and the price for your size of organisation.
How much of our time will it take?
We need a named contact, access to your Microsoft 365 environment and a few short conversations with the people who know your data and processes. We do the rest and keep disruption to a minimum.
Will it disrupt the business?
No. The review is read-only. Nothing in your environment is changed during the sprint unless you ask us to make the fixes afterwards.
Do we need Copilot licences first?
No. The sprint tells you whether, when and how Microsoft Copilot is worth buying, so you spend on licences only once the foundations are in place.

Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about our AI Readiness Sprint and how we help organisations prepare for AI, Microsoft Copilot and automation.
What is an AI Readiness Sprint?
ABCOM's AI Readiness Sprint is a structured four-week programme designed to assess your organisation's readiness for AI. We review security, governance, Microsoft 365 readiness, policies and practical AI opportunities before creating a prioritised roadmap.
Who is the AI Readiness Sprint suitable for?
The sprint is designed for small and medium-sized businesses, charities and organisations looking to adopt AI safely and effectively. It is particularly valuable for organisations considering Microsoft Copilot or other AI-powered business tools.
Is Microsoft Copilot included?
The sprint includes a Microsoft Copilot readiness review. We assess security, permissions, licensing requirements, data governance and any gaps that should be addressed before deployment.
What happens during the sprint?
Each week focuses on a specific area: discovery, security and governance, policy development and roadmap creation. At the end of the sprint you receive practical recommendations and clear next steps.
Do we need an AI policy?
Yes. An AI policy helps employees understand acceptable use, data handling, confidentiality requirements and organisational expectations when using AI tools. It is becoming an important part of good governance and risk management.
How long does the AI Readiness Sprint take?
Most engagements are completed over four weeks, allowing time for reviews, stakeholder discussions and the creation of practical recommendations and documentation.
What will we receive at the end?
You will receive an AI Readiness Assessment, governance recommendations, AI policy guidance, a Microsoft Copilot readiness review and a prioritised AI adoption roadmap.
Can ABCOM help implement the recommendations?
Yes. ABCOM can assist with Microsoft 365 security improvements, data governance, policy creation, Copilot readiness, user training and ongoing AI adoption support.
