Our company

Local IT people who get to know your business

ABCOM began trading in Burgess Hill in 1996 and became a limited company in 1997. We’ve grown from a local IT business into a team supporting businesses and charities across Sussex and beyond. We still believe good support starts with knowing the people and systems behind each enquiry.

Our story

Who we are and how we work

Supporting businesses since 1996, from the same corner of Sussex. Here’s how we got here, and what working with us looks like today.

1996 – 1997

Where we started

ABCOM began trading in Burgess Hill in 1996 and became a limited company in 1997. In the early years we recycled computers for large organisations such as American Express, the NHS and Roche Diagnostics.

Winning the IT support contract for Albion in the Community, the charitable arm of Brighton & Hove Albion, took us into managed IT services.

Today

How our team supports you

Our Burgess Hill team looks after day-to-day IT, Microsoft 365, cyber security, broadband and phone systems. Every request goes to our helpdesk, is prioritised by severity and gets a response within 2 hours under our SLA.

You deal with named people: Nicola runs the helpdesk, and our engineers get to know your systems.

Long term

Why clients stay

Many of our clients have been with us for years. Family Dental in Crawley has worked with us for more than 15 years.

When a network switch panel failed at TSS Facilities in Portslade, they called at 9:00am and an engineer had fitted a replacement by 10:30am. Read our case studies

Yann Davies, Managing Director of ABCOM IT Solutions
“Technology should feel invisible when it’s working properly. Our job is to make sure you barely notice it’s there, because it’s simply doing what it should.”
Yann Davies, Managing Director, ABCOM IT Solutions
