“Frontier AI” usually means the most advanced AI models available at any given time, such as the latest models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and Microsoft. These models can now plan and carry out multi-step tasks, not just answer questions.
For small businesses, that means AI can take on real admin work: drafting, scheduling, reporting and research. It also means AI can reach more of your data, so security and permissions matter more than ever. Microsoft also uses “Frontier” as the name of its early-access programme for new Copilot features.
