The main UK rules that apply

  • WEEE Regulations 2013: how electrical and electronic waste must be collected, treated and recycled.
  • Environmental Protection Act 1990 (Duty of Care): you must use authorised waste carriers and keep transfer records.
  • Hazardous waste rules: some items, such as certain batteries and older monitors, need special handling.
  • UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018: personal data must be destroyed securely, and you must be able to prove it.

How we keep you compliant

We handle the paperwork, use licensed partners and give you certificates for every collection, so you have an audit trail if you’re ever asked.
